About BCDF

BCDF is a non for profit organization, and an indigenous initiative of the community of Baltistan. BCDF's genesis lies in Baltistan Culture Foundation (BCF). The organization was registered under social welfare ordinance in 1998 and later re-registered under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984 (XLVII of 1984) as “Baltistan Culture & Development Foundation (BCDF)” to address the emerging development needs of Gilgit-Baltistan as an home-grown development partner.

BEDAR Program

IA watershed development in the history of BCDF was the initiation of Baltistan Enterprise Development & Arts Revival Project. At initial, AKCSP & BCDF joined hands to implement this SDC funded project which amid to enhance employment and income generation opportunities in Baltistan through enterprise development and skill enhancement among jobless youth .

Cross Cutting Themes

Like other socially responsible organizations, BCDF should believes on designing and implementing a practical guideline during the project implementation and in economic development activities, on the integration of prominent and standard human right based themes and approaches to stay in line with the partners. The themes have been interpreted in BCDF project are Poverty, Gender, HIV/AIDS, Human rights based approach, and management.

BCDF Management:

BCDF possesses trained and well qualified human resource with dynamic working experience has capacity to work under pressure and have skills to achieve targets as per project need. This trained human resource contributes towards the development of the region as well as organization.
